Family: Tempest Shadow (Mother), Princess Twilight Sparkle (Biological mother), Unknown Batpony (Birth mother), Sirius Veil (eldest brother) and Hazy Sky (older adopted brother) 

Friends: Witches Brew and Seaweed

Personality: Flighty and bubbly, though when she is focused on something, nothing can steer her attention. Because of this, she is often getting hurt herself or hurting others. She talks fast and thinks even faster, so her words are hard to understand.

Background: She was conceived by accident but was happily accepted by Twilight and Tempest. But only for about a month. Twilight ended up having a major panic attack and had to either give up having the child or go for a surrogate. She chose the latter. Nova was born safely and the Surrogate went on to do... other things. No one is sure where she went or why she left so suddenly but Nova was left with Twi and Tempest.

Nova grows up normally, despite being the only Pegasus in a family of unicorns.



Relationships:

Sirius Veil: Her relationship with Sirius is awkward. He is polite and treats her nicely but is consistently distant toward her as she's grown older. They used to be very close but as he took his role as prince more seriously, he started to treat her less like a sibling and more like a subject. He get especially upset when she tries to look into his magic.

Hazy Sky: She and Hazy are thick as thieves. Though she doesn't understand his interest in... physical activities (wrestling and anything  resembling a fight) and he falls asleep as soon as she starts talking about her theories on the magic of singing and its effect on the passage of time, they are very close and tend to hang out as often as possible.

Witches Brew: Besties, though she can't recall how they met. Wendy assures her that it isn't important. The main thing between them is their mutual interest in one another. Wendy is fascinated by the only pony who isn't freaked out by her or her clingiest (She has no concept of personal space.). Nova is fascinated by the nature of Draconoqi and wants to research them in depth.

Honey Brie:  Rivals. Every since the first day of school, Nova has wanted to beat Honey. Not only is she super cute, but she's smart too! How dare she be cute AND smart. Nova is determined to beat her and her dumb bugs.

Facts:

- She claims to be able to see (sense) magic the way that other Pegasi sense the wind
- Doesn't know that Hazy is adopted
- Was born from a surrogate, though is unaware of such things. Apparently, her birth mother was a bat pony.
- Dreams of finding a way to fix her mother, Tempest's, horn
- She has trouble socializing with others because her mouth can't keep up with her mind.
